Cheong Soo Pieng: Layer by Layer
Cheong Soo Pieng: Layer by Layer showcases over 30 artworks from public and private collections, revealing the hidden stories beneath the surface of the artist’s creations. As the principal researcher, BARC Labs utilized advanced conservation techniques such as X-rays, infrared photography, and cross-section analysis to uncover new insights into Cheong’s artistic process. This groundbreaking exhibition, running from April to November 2024 at the National Gallery Singapore, brings together art and science, offering visitors a deeper understanding of one of Singapore’s most celebrated pioneers.
